The stakes of the security around official sites or military bases

Security around official sites (parliament, palaces, etc.) or military bases is an ongoing issue, and the media or political impact of UAS -related incidents would be considerable.

UAS s can pose several types of threat, whether deliberate or inadvertent, ranging from surveillance missions for media or intelligence purposes to terrorist attacks on sites deliberately targeting services or personalities for destabilization purposes.

Moreover, the environment can be very complex: large structures or with detection masks, urban environment, restrictions on the use of certain technologies in relation to activities, presence of existing protection systems with which interference must be avoided.

What BOREADES can offer

Since 2018, BOREADES has been used operationally to protect military bases and official sites, on a permanent basis or during events (e.g. G7).

In its fixed configuration, suitable for protecting an official site, or deployable for more occasional needs, BOREADES is:
  • Simple and user-friendly for operators who generally carry out rotations or one-off tasks, and with the interface viewable by several players.
  • Equipped with a mission preparation tool to identify alert and neutralization zones.
  • Made up of sensors judiciously positioned to cover the entire area of interest around a sometimes-imposing structure.
  • Enhanced by AI algorithms to detect UAS s in video streams.
  • Suitable for use in the environment concerned, with sensors and effectors adapted both in terms of performance and compliance with applicable constraints.

To go further

BOREADES can also be interfaced with our CRIMSON security hypervision and crisis management solution, making it natively interoperable with the solutions deployed in security control centers, as well as communicating targeted information in the event of an alert to the smartphones of the hundreds of security guards deployed in the field.
