CS GROUP participates in Courageous project demonstration in Belgium
CS GROUP is delighted to have been selected to participate in the European Courageous project. The second trial of this project, brilliantly organized by the belian Royal Military Academy, simulated a maritime border protection scenario, and was conducted in Belgium from 2 to 6 October 2023.
The Courageous project aims to establish a standardized test methodology for evaluating Counter-UAS systems, focusing on detection, tracking and identification. This collaborative project brings together European Ministries of Defence, law enforcement agencies and academics, and is part of Europe's Counter-UAS strategy.
The Courageous methodology is based on pre-defined scenarios representing different use cases. This methodology will be tested in three field trials, which the third is still to come. It will be used to assess the efficiency of Counter-UAS systems in the different situations studied within the framework of the project. CS GROUP was chosen for this week's trials in Belgium due to the maturity of its BOREADES Counter-UAS solution.
CS GROUP presented an end-to-end integrated system based on its C2 BOREADES system, to which EXAVISION Nemosys optronic, Robin radar and Senhive RF sensor were connected. The performance of BOREADES met the challenges set by the Courageous UAS scenarios, testifying to the quality and maturity of the solution proposed by CS GROUP.
CS GROUP is proud to have been part of this joint initiative and to have contributed to the development of a common European approach to the ever-increasing threat of illegal UAS. This collaboration between companies and institutions means that the Counter-UAS solutions provided by the industry can evolve in the direction sought by the institutions.
